Title: To investigate the effect of time on the rate of respiration in yeast. (suitable for Fifth Form - Yr11)

Description: Yeast respires glucose anaerobically producing carbon dioxide and ethanol as waste products. The carbon dioxide is given off as bubbles and the number given off in a known time can be used to estimate the rate of the reaction. Does the rate of the reaction vary or is it constant ? We can answer this question by measuring the rate repeatedly.
