Title: Construction and Operation of a Glucose Sensitive Biosensor - Immobilized Glucose Oxidase
Deposited By: Peter Robinson, Department of Biological Sciences, University of Central Lancashire, Preston
Date Deposited: 01 January 2002
Description: In this practical we will immobilise a glucose oxidase around a pH electrode. This electrode will be able to measure the formation of the gluconic acid (since this is acidic the pH of the solution will fall). The rate of formation of this product will be proportional to the concentration of glucose in solution.
