Title: Statistics - Box Plots in Excel
Deposited By: Derek Christie, Department of Science and Technology, Waikato Institute of Technology, Hamilton, Aotearoa - New Zealand

Description: Box plots are a simple but effective method of showing the distribution of a single set of data or of comparing several sets of related data simultaneously. A typical box plot might show the distribution of heights of corn seedlings grown under three different sets of conditions. While Microsoft Excel is an excellent way of storing, summarising and graphing data, its range of graphs unfortunately does not include box plots. This Excel spreadsheet automatically draws side by side box plots for up to 25 sets of related data with appropriate category and axis labels, ready for copying into another document.
